Our Australian Adventure: Perth & Fremantle

We visited Perth City almost everyday for meals , shopping and sight-seeing. The sights and sounds of this Australian city was an eye-opener to most us.

Hay Street is certainly the place to be...

The churches are quite a sight as well...

London Court was another locality that struck our fancy...

Well, (ahem) on with the next...

The statues at St. George's Terrace was quite interesting. G'day, mate!
We did some gold shopping at Perth Mint...

And of course, we bought quite a lot of souvenirs for this trip.

What is the material of that streamer? The printing is so vibrant... Well, what can I say - advertising is in our blood...

We even had a casual meeting with a local advertising agency. Nice to have met you guys...

Some of us managed to find the time to visit the museum...

Although most of the shops and commercial areas close quite early in the evening, there are certain parts of the city that comes to life only after the sun has set.

We had to do a second visit to this locality to actually see the place because we just couldn't find a car park close enough during the first visit. This hot spot is Perth's very own entertainment center - Burswood.

Why is it so popular? It has a casino...

The Wheel of Perth stands majestically over the city at night...

We also made it a point to visit the famous Fremantle market. As with all markets, it was crowded and colourful. Anyway, it was a whole new experience to shop in a market of a foreign country.

There were plenty of stalls and a huge variety of merchandise made available - all under one roof.

David certainly has his hands full...or should I say mouth full.

Welcome to Fremantle, young lady...

Get off me head, will ya!?

All good things must come to an end and we had to pack up and leave at 4 am in the morning of the 11th of August 2009.

During the flight back home, we looked back at our walkabout in Australia through our memories. It has been a fun, educational and relaxing trip. I wonder when will our next company trip be?
