Popcorn and movie...(18/12/2009)

Being in the advertising line does have its perks like enjoying a free movie. One of our clients booked 2 screening sessions for Assassins & Bodyguard as well as Avatar as a token of appreciation to their clients. Doing a photo shoot to cover the event and some other advertising material resulted in having to enjoy the movie as well.

Popcorn, anyone?

Happy Birthday, Michelle...(01/12/2009)

In between crazy datelines, tons of work and not-so-reasonable clients, the team got took a breather to celebrate Michelle's birthday. Although it is only the beginning of the month, the forecast is work, work and more work for the rest of the month. So, enough of blogging and back to work. Welcome to our world...

Something has gotta give...(19/11/2009)

All the accumulated pressure and frustration from our work has to be released somewhere somehow. In this case, our office chair - courtesy of Kee. Well, looks like we have got some X'mas shopping to do afterall...

The force is strong with this team (13/11/2009)

Actually, we were supposed to enjoy a break from work today as it has been quite a busy week. But in our line of work, nothing is certain. Due to some urgent datelines and pending work, it was work as usual for the team.

Our senior padawan, David, set a good example by being the first to be at his table today.

Our young padawans - Alex and Jerry...

Boys, please behave...

Last but not least, Fish, our young "padawin"...

Strike a pose...2 (08/11/2009)

Fish and Alex had to supervise another photo-shoot for local celebrity Jack Lim upon the request of our client. Since this is the second shoot, they are more prepared and things went pretty smoothly. Keep up the good work, guys!

Rock & Roll...(04/11/2009)

We had the opportunity to work with a KL agency for a major event held at the new Hard Rock Hotel in Penang.

Although we only played a small part, mostly in production and stage structural works, we still had a taste of the glamorous side of advertising. That is something is we have been lacking of for quite some time. The scope of our slightly complicated work became even more complicated when the clients had some last-minute changes. To make things worse, there were a dozen or so drop-dead beautiful models in cut-off jeans and mini skirts strutting down the stage as they rehearse for tonight's event. "Keep your eyes on the beams and not the broads, boys!"

True to the tradition of Hard Rock Hotel 's "the harder the better", our hard work did paid off in the end as we were quite proud of the results.

Seeking enlightenment... (23/10/2009)

The creative team was lost for ideas when trying to work out a concept for a new client. Think outside the box, guys. Better still, throw the friggin' box away! Try not to restrain yourself. Open up to your deepest instincts and passion. Lose yourself. See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Say No Evil isn't going to get you anywhere in our line of work.
At least some of us are always having a relaxing and enjoyable time at the office. But then again, not all of us can breath under water.

Strike a pose (13/10/2009)

We had the privilege to organize a photo-shoot with local celebrity Mr. Jack Lim for a client. It was a new experience for most of us as this is the first time some of us are dealing directly with a celebrity. Our own Fish even had to step as as Jack's partner for some of the shots - good for you, girl! So, she received a quick make-over from the make-up artiste before the shoot.

Well, she sure looks pretty excited about it...

Fish wasn't the only one who offered their assistance to ensure the success of this photo-shoot. Jerry also got into the act - good for you too, bro!

And finally the man himself. He's a cool guy and friendly too. Nice to have met you, Jack.

We almost foget about...(06/10/2009)

...Jerry's birthday. Sorry bro - I know we are a day late but Happy Belated Birthday! Looks like the work load and the date lines are really eating into us. We always try to maintain the tradition of celebrating birthdays no matter how hectic the company schedule is. Anyway, late is better than never.

Everyone helped the birthday boy to welcome in the beginning of his brand new year.

The cake was delicious as usual - thanks to David. His choice of cakes never fails our taste buds.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (03/09/2009)

We had to wait till end of the day to celebrate with the birthday boy - Alex. It is not that his birthday wasn't important to us. We had to attend 2 long meetings before that. Anyway, we try not to miss birthdays here - it's a tradition we have been practicing since the very beginning.
Well Alex, you are now a year older and hopefully, a year wiser (just kidding, dude). HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!

Welcome aboard...(27/08/2009)

We have added a new member to the team. Jerry's the name and client servicing is his game. All of us at Megan Nathaneal welcome you and wish you all the best in this industry of ours. Just be prepared for life in an advertising agency. It can quite insane at times with impossible datelines and weird working hours. But when you see the end result of your work, (most of time) it makes it all worth while. Most important of all, it also have the tendency to bring out the best in a person. Trust us - we know.

Our Australian Adventure: Perth & Fremantle

We visited Perth City almost everyday for meals , shopping and sight-seeing. The sights and sounds of this Australian city was an eye-opener to most us.

Hay Street is certainly the place to be...

The churches are quite a sight as well...

London Court was another locality that struck our fancy...

Well, (ahem) on with the next...

The statues at St. George's Terrace was quite interesting. G'day, mate!
We did some gold shopping at Perth Mint...

And of course, we bought quite a lot of souvenirs for this trip.

What is the material of that streamer? The printing is so vibrant... Well, what can I say - advertising is in our blood...

We even had a casual meeting with a local advertising agency. Nice to have met you guys...

Some of us managed to find the time to visit the museum...

Although most of the shops and commercial areas close quite early in the evening, there are certain parts of the city that comes to life only after the sun has set.

We had to do a second visit to this locality to actually see the place because we just couldn't find a car park close enough during the first visit. This hot spot is Perth's very own entertainment center - Burswood.

Why is it so popular? It has a casino...

The Wheel of Perth stands majestically over the city at night...

We also made it a point to visit the famous Fremantle market. As with all markets, it was crowded and colourful. Anyway, it was a whole new experience to shop in a market of a foreign country.

There were plenty of stalls and a huge variety of merchandise made available - all under one roof.

David certainly has his hands full...or should I say mouth full.

Welcome to Fremantle, young lady...

Get off me head, will ya!?

All good things must come to an end and we had to pack up and leave at 4 am in the morning of the 11th of August 2009.

During the flight back home, we looked back at our walkabout in Australia through our memories. It has been a fun, educational and relaxing trip. I wonder when will our next company trip be?
