Models for a day...

We finally got round to the task of capturing our profile images for our website (Sorry, Kee. I know that it has been more than a year). Anyway, all of us came to work well-groomed and dressed for the task.

Looking very cool and poised is our Ms. Ooi (a.k.a. Fish)...

Kar Yee went for a more serious approach...

It was hakuna matata for Edwin...

Ivan was in his comfort zone doing what he does best...

Jerry, as always, lighted up the atmosphere with his personality...

Chin Wei didn't want to miss his time in the limelight as well...

A group photo before we concluded the photo session and it was back to work as usual...

Why me?

Choy is really going through a bad spell these past few days. One incident after another and today, his chair gave way. Is it just plain bad luck or is it payment for all his past sins? Well, he better start going to "church' more often...

Friday Night Fiesta

Although it has just been only 2 days since we got back from the cruise, it felt like 2 weeks. Anyway, we had a kind of a last-minute potluck party. I guess we all still recovering from the dreaded Post-Holiday Syndrome. Besides, it was a Friday night after all.

Jerry seems to be really in the mood.

And come to think of it, so was everyone else.

No party would be complete without some intoxication and we had a go at an age-old drinking game.

But being in an advertising agency, we are naturally more creative in all that we do. I am not sure if that is a blessing or a curse this time. We added in a new twist into the game – chilli paddy.

The penalty for losing a round was eating a very spicy snack – apart from the beer, that is.

It was certainly more than a mouthful for most – just ask Choy about it.

And some required a little extra persuasion…

Entertainment for the rest night was provided by our very own in-house band. Singing to their rendition of the more popular tunes, the boys kept the party rocking till way past midnight…

Star Cruise Penang-Krabi-Phuket: Day 4

The ship gradually made its way back to the Penang port on the third morning. We had one last meal at the top deck and as usual, it was filling and sumptuous. Once our appetites were satisfied, we had to get ready to disembark and this time, for good.

One final memory captured on board the Star Cruise Libra to mark the end of a most memorable vacation and before we returned back to our normal everyday lives. So far, we have been down-under and out-at-sea for our company trips. Now, where will the next one take us.

Star Cruise Penang-Krabi-Phuket: Day 3

On our second morning aboard the Star Cruise Libra, we reached the shores of Phuket. Unlike yesterday’s excursion, the ship was able to port here and we just needed to stroll down onto the port. Still, we had some time to kill before we were actually allowed to disembark…

There were no incidents with the local tour operators this time because we knew exactly where we wanted to go and the operator took us exactly there in a rather posh MPV.

This is certainly not your usual list of things not allowed – not back home anyway.

And before we knew it, we reached our destination…

Once we found a suitable spot along this pristine coastline, we quickly settled down and prepared ourselves for some serious fun in the sun.

Everyone certainly fell for this locality. I mean, what’s there not to love. It certainly has it all.

Beach…

Babes…

And booze…

A couple of us wanted more than just a good tan on their bodies from this visit to the beach. Edwin got himself a tattoo and a new hairdo.

Kar Yee, on the other hand, opted for the tattoo only.

We had to replenish all our energy that was spent on the beach and this beachside food stall certainly welcomed our presence and business.

From the beach, we headed out onto the streets.

Apart from the excellent shopping, there was certainly still plenty of other things for us to explore and experience.

Some of the items on display were certainly visually “appealing”…

The nightlife is one of the things we missed out on this short trip. That alone is good enough a reason for a second trip back to this tourist hotspot.

Something tells us that this isn't the first time that Kee has been here...

When we finally got back to the port in the evening, we were greeted by numerous street stalls capitalizing on all the business generated by the patrons of the cruise and that included us.

As tonight was our last on the ship, the crew threw a Farewell Party for everyone to enjoy and danced the night away.

I guess some of us are just not built for life at sea.
