Kar Yee's Farewell

Today, with a heavy heart we bid farewell to our beloved Kar Yee. We wish you all the best in your future undertakings. We know that things will never be the same without your cheerful and energetic personality. As always, committed to work - even till the last minute.

Your team members here will miss you dearly, girl.

  

Anyway, we decided to have the farewell dinner-cum-gathering at Berlin's Bier Houz at Bay Avenue. It was a good decision as well because the environment was quite ideal.

 

 

It's been quite a while since the last time we actually hung out and just enjoyed each others' company. For a change, we talked about other things apart from work and it turned out to be quite a memorable night out for the team.

 

 

 

The food was great too. The sausages kind of got the girls all excited and I wonder why...

 

 

And what is a bar without the beers, right? Cheers!

We gave a farewell gift to Kar Yee when the evening was drawing to an end. It's just a little something for her to remember us by.

By the way, this is Zhi Ming - the latest addition to the team. Are you ready to rock & roll ? We have a gut feeling you are.

The latest member of the team?

This Black-naped Oriole regularly comes to the window of the designers' room and pecks on the glass. Although it looks like it wants in, the real reason is its own reflection on the tinted window. The poor bird thinks that the reflection is another bird.

Well as long as you are not doing yourself any harm, you are most welcome to continue with your new-found hobby, Bud.

A night assignment

Our assignments take us to all kind of places and that is just one of the perks of working in an advertising agency. However, not all the localities are beautiful and comfy. Some are downright unpleasant. But occasionally, we do get something like enjoying a soothing sunset from the rooftop garden of one of the most luxurious condominiums in mainland Penang. Of course, I don't get paid just to admire the scenery. The real work is to photograph a night view of Penang Island and the best view of the island is not from the island.
